Coursera’s Digital Marketing Specialisation is one of more than 2,000 courses available on the platform.
This specialisiation is part of the University of Illinois Masters of Business Administration degree program, the iMBA. It’s divided into six courses that cover an array of modern marketing including search engine optimisation, social media marketing, data analytics and digital tools.
The Digital Marketing Specialisation culminates with the Capstone Project, a six-week assignment in which students apply what they’ve learned to a real business problem.
2. Google Academy for Ads
Google Academy for Ads offers free bite-sized courses on Google’s online advertising products, including AdWords, Programmatic, and DoubleClick.
The classes cover all of Google’s best practices on ads and digital strategy and can be completed at any place and time from laptops or mobile devices.
Users are walked through learning paths comprised of text, videos and interactive challenges before they are assessed on their knowledge. They can then earn certifications on a range of different subjects, including AdWords Fundamentals, AdWords Mobile, AdWords Search, AdWords Video, AdWords Display and Google Shopping.
3. Alison Diploma in E-Business
The Alison Diploma in E-Business is designed to help business owners learn online marketing skills and how to implement them in a strategy.
Students are taught how to build a marketing plan, promote their business and improve online conversion rates.
To complete the 6-10 hours course, you need to score 80 percent or higher in each assessment.
The diploma is free to study, but you have to pay to gain the certificate that proves that you have passed.
4. Lynda.com Marketing Training and Tutorials
The Lynda.com Marketing Training and Tutorials course teaches you how to develop, implement and measure a marketing strategy. The course combines the latest digital tools and techniques with traditional marketing skills.
Students study topics such as SEO and social media marketing by picking from a library of hundreds of video tutorials taught by industry experts and targeted at different skill level.
There is no formal structure to the course and no certificate at the end, but the monthly subscription rate and vast array of courses make it a good choice for beginners who want access to a wide range of lessons.
5. HubSpot Academy Inbound Digital Marketing Course
The HubSpot Academy Inbound Marketing Certification Course offers free classes on how to attract customers through content creation.
The set of lessons begins with the fundamentals, before moving through content, promotion, conversion, lead nurturing, conversational marketing, sales enablement and customer marketing.
Videos teach you about the topics, provide real-life examples and show how to apply them to your own business. The course also includes quizzes and practical exercises along the way to track your progress.
Graduates of the course earn a recognised certification that they can add to their CV or LinkedIn profile for free.
