The 7-Product Founder Playbook: How I Run Multiple AI Ventures in Parallel

Building one business is hard. Building seven in parallel is a system.

The Silicon Valley playbook, echoed by every VC and accelerator, drills one mantra into founders: focus. They tell you to find your niche, nail it, and only then, maybe, think about a second product. It’s sensible, risk-averse advice. And it’s completely wrong for the age of agentic AI.

The cost of building and testing a truly intelligent AI product is plummeting. Not the cost of GPT-4 API calls, but the cost of discovery. With a single, unified team of problem-solvers, you can spin up, test, and validate multiple ventures on a fraction of the capital that a traditional SaaS company burns through just hiring a dedicated product manager. The 'focus' doctrine is a relic of an era where building required massive, siloed teams and nine-figure funding rounds. We’re in a different world now. A world where breadth, system design, and rapid-fire parallel innovation beat slow, sequential obsession.

At Creative Marketing Group, we don't just run the UK's leading AI-first marketing agency. We run a portfolio. We are actively building and scaling Autoemails, AutoSettle, AutoTill, and Competable — four distinct AI-native products — alongside the core agency, our internal operating system, and my own personal brand. That’s seven ventures. This isn't chaos; it's a deliberate, integrated machine. This is the playbook.

To the outside world, it looks like a collection of separate businesses. An agency. A few SaaS products. But internally, we view it as one monolithic system with seven interdependent 'products':

1. The Agency (Creative Marketing Group): The revenue engine and R&D lab. Our team of strategists and AI engineers solve complex marketing problems for clients, generating consistent, high-margin revenue and, crucially, identifying the real-world problems that our AI products need to solve.

2. Autoemails: An agentic email marketing platform that doesn't just automate sends, it thinks. It writes copy, determines audience segments, and adjusts campaign strategy based on performance.

3. AutoSettle: An AI agent that automates financial reconciliation and settlement between retailers and suppliers, born from the pain we saw in our ecommerce clients' finance departments.

4. AutoTill: A predictive stock management agent for retailers, aiming to eliminate waste and minimise out-of-stock events.

5. Competable: A competitive intelligence platform that uses AI agents to monitor and model rivals' marketing strategies in real-time.

6. The Internal OS ('Autothink'): The system that runs us. It's a collection of internal AI agents and processes that manage our projects, finances, and operations. We are our own first customer.

7. The Personal Brand (Kasim Javed): My essays, podcasts, and public speaking. This isn't vanity; it’s our primary channel for attracting talent, partners, and the specific type of client who understands our vision. It’s a filter, not a funnel.
